At VeloSpeedTyping, your privacy comes first. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how third-party services like Google AdSense interact with your visit.

Account Data We Collect

To offer daily streak reminders, VeloSpeedTyping allows you to create an optional account using:

- Your Gmail address

- A username you choose

This email and username are stored securely in our server database. We do not store raw passwords — authentication is handled through secure, industry-standard methods (e.g. hashed credentials or an OAuth provider), so we never have access to your plaintext password.

Why We Collect It

We use your email and username solely to send automated notification emails reminding you when you're about to lose your daily typing streak. That's the only purpose account data serves. We do not sell, rent, or share your email, username, or any account information with third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

You can stop receiving these reminders at any time by unsubscribing via the link in any reminder email, or by deleting your account.

100% Local Storage for Your Typing Data

Your keystrokes, WPM/accuracy metrics, custom "My Texts" content, theme preferences, and practice history remain primarily in your browser's local storage (`localStorage`) for performance — they are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

If you create an account, your daily streak count is synced to our server so we can track it across devices and trigger reminder emails. Aside from this streak sync, your typing content and detailed performance data stay local to your browser and are not collected by us.

- Your custom "My Texts" pastes stay on your device.

- Your keystrokes and detailed performance analytics stay on your device.

- Only your account email, username, and streak count are stored server-side — solely to power reminders.

You can clear your local browser data at any time via your browser settings. Deleting your account removes your email, username, and streak data from our server.

Advertising: Google AdSense & Third-Party Vendors

To keep VeloSpeedTyping free to use, this site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites you have visited. This may include:

• Account data: Update your username anytime; delete your account to remove your email, username, and streak data from our server.

• Cookies generally: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, though this may affect how ads are displayed (not how the typing tool functions, which works independently of cookies).
